MACHALILLA NATIONAL PARK

One of the most wonderful opportunities that we have for your enjoyment, is a visit to Machalilla National Park where whale-watching adventure and nature at is purest is waiting for you!

Aboard our modern boats, be assured that we have all the necessary safety equipment for your personal security, and we are equipped  for proper nautical navigation. Here you will enjoy an unmatched tour. "The youbartas whale watching" is for the whales that arrive in Ecuadorian waters during June, July, August and September. Watch their amazing jumping and courtship rituals. To complement this fantastic tour, you will visit Isla de la Plata, an area with a rich abundance of bird life, including seagulls, blue and red footed bobbies, pelicans and frigate birds as well as albatrosses. From mid-April to October this place becomes a very unique place on our planet.

Snorkeling is also permitted so bring your equipment and enjoy the coral reefs as well as a swim with the local dolphins who parade themselves frequently around this area. There are also some very nice 3-4 hour walks on the island as well as pre-Colombian sites, housing various pottery finds.

There is a magic and protected beach, "Los Frailes" where an amazing landscape of ocean, beach, and nature's tranquility combine to let you completely enjoy the tour. There are some eco-paths in the dry tropical forest, including a beach branch and a lookout point good for pictures.
