In "Cerro Seco" Biological Reserve
Flora re-collection and inventorying of seeds and environmental fauna education, care of wild animals, organic agriculture education for the public health publicity and marketing
In "Cerro Seco" Biological Reserve also is seeking a program of permanent volunteers to help to administer the programs of existing volunteers. The volunteers will be able to live in the interpretation center (in development) for 6 months or more, to learn Spanish or to develop their abilities to speak more fluently.

In several schools in the northern part of the province of Manabí, there are voluntary jobs for English language teachers needed in schools where resources are scarce, and equally important is environmental education for schools.

To do volunteer work in our province will be an opportunity that will allow you to know nature, our culture, and in the same time you will be able to improve your abilities in the use of the Spanish language and to contribute to the sustainable development and common projects that seek to give a better impulse to the tourist activities. Your professional and personal contributions will help the community to learn about you and the world around. The people here hopefully will learn a new language that will permit them to improve service to tourists. Since they work in tourist areas they need to take advantage of the natural resources for a livelihood.
What types of persons do we seek as volunteers?
For the volunteer jobs that we offer we seek persons that have had experience in common development of environmental, and tourist themes. It is recommended that you have had at least some experience visiting Latin-American countries as tourists, and preferably some prior job experience in rural or natural areas although is not indispensable.
